Received: October 27, 2016 Revised: December 23, 2016 Accepted: January 04, 2017 Abstract: Aims: Lettuce and broccoli are high value vegetable crops in California. The western flower thrips, Frankliniella occidentalis on lettuce, and the cabbage aphid, Brevicoryne brassicae and the green peach aphid, Myzus persicae on broccoli are important insect pests that are frequently managed with chemical insecticides.
